After a decade
of dance training, Susan Church studied Theatre at TCD in the late
1980's and dance with the National Theatre Institute in Connecticut
U.S.A. It was during this time that she received her first yoga
training , along with Laban, Alexander method and many other forms
of dance and movement. Although, she eventually left the arts, she
remained committed to yoga and in 1999 she completed her first yoga
teacher training and one year later she qualified as a massage therapist.
She completed her training in pilates matwork with BODYFIRM PILATES
in 2001, following this with one to one pilates training, pre-natal
pilates and pilates using equipment.
Along with attending hundreds of master classes in both yoga and
pilates, she graduated from her second yoga teacher training in
2004 with The YTTC.
In January
2005, Susan opened her own studio in the heart of Rathmines. CENTRE
STUDIOS is a venue for a wide selection of classes including pilates,
yoga, tai chi and yoga/pilates fusion, along with various complimentary
therapies.
Susan's first
job as a Yoga teacher, was to instruct cast and crew of the RIVERDANCE
troupe in The Point Theatre, on their homecoming tour. Since then
corporate clients have included, SUN MICROSYSTEMS, FAILTE IRELAND,
O2, MCI, IRANROID EIREANN, BAGGOT STRET HOSPITAL, BALLINTEER EASTERN
HEALTH BOARD AND THE HEALTH RESEARCH BOARD, A&L GOODBODY, DELL,
THE OIREACHTAS and UCD STAFF.

Aideen Macken
is a qualified massage therapist, aromatherapy, Indian head massage,
hot-stone massage and Reflexology practitioner.
She is qualified
as a Powerhouse Pilates instructor and has completed various master
classes.

Paul Scallan
is a certified Pilates teacher with BODYFIRM PILATES and a registered
Fitness instructor and Sport massage therapist.
Paul is currently studying Physiotherapy in UCD.

Helen Byrne
is from an education background. She received a BA and Hdip Ed from
UCD in 1980, and has taught on and off since then. Her most recent
work is as a visiting teacher to the travelling community. Helen
graduated from the YTTC in December 2004 and has been teaching classes
since and more recently graduated from Yoga Therapy.
Helen has also studied residentially in many retreat centres in
Europa and South America.
