All CENTRE Studios therapists are fully qualified and insured. Each treatment takes place in warm, quiet surroundings and each session is conducted in the strictest confidance.

Effective in the treatment of many ailments, TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE, commonly referred to as T.C.M., has been in use for at least three thousand years. A variety of different treatment methods are used, the best known of which are ACUPUNCTURE and HERBAL MEDICINE. ACUPUNCTURE involves the insertion of very fine sterile needles into Acupuncture Points at various points on the body, depending on the person's condition, to restore and improve health. HERBAL MEDICINE is an extensive part of T.C.M. Various herbs, embrocations, poultices, plasters, and decoctions, are prescribed in accordance with the person's precise individual needs. The initial consultation lasts from 40 minutes to 1 hour. Subsequent treatments can last from 20 minutes to1 hour. The person is usually seen at weekly intervals. Cost €50, for initial consultation. €40 for subsequent treatments.

Massage is a relaxation treatment. It calms the heart and the mind, but like yoga it also stimulates the tissues of the body, leading to detoxification and toning. Massage also brings in elements of balancing the energies of the body with the practitioner specifically intending a more positive existence for the client while using the power of touch. Massage treatments can last from 20 minutes to one and a half hours. Cost per 20 minutes €25, 30 minutes €35, 1 hour €60 and 1 hour 30 minutes €75.

Reiki is a hands on (or off) healing! like yoga it is designed to balance the chakras or energy centres within the body. Each chakra has a physical, emotional and spiritual purpose and when these centres become unbalanced it is said to lead to disharmony or dis-ease of body, mind or spirit. Unlike yoga the balancing is performed by someone else, that is a reiki practitioner or master. Duration from 30 mins to 1 hour. Cost per hour €55, per half hour, €35.

Reflexology is a form of natural, holistic therapy based on the discovery that there are points on the feet and hands which correspond to organs, systems and structures within the entire body. This corresponding relationship is called a ‘reflex’. A reflex is when stimulation at one point brings about a response in another point or area. In reflexology, by using special pressure techniques to stimulate the points on the feet and hands, imbalances in the tissues, organs and systems of the body can be both detected and effectively treated to restore balance and well being. Duration 1 hour. Cost €55.
